Banned from Another NeoCon Blog

I have been banned/censored at the newest NEO-CON blog. The Republic of Dogs has been eliminating my comments for a couple of days now and THIS WILL STAND! I will now plot cobagitation against the vile Canine Republican'ts.

You all may now commence consuming it.

I have no comment. I'm just swamped with evil children who are a little too jacked up from their trip to the fair. And I just kicked off one kid for looking at porn (and I have no idea how he got past the filters). Crazy.

Banned? Censored?

Yeah, Republic of Dogs only shows my comments as long as I don't navigate away from the page. Then they go bye-bye, which makes me think I pissed someone off accidentally.

I has been going on for two or three days now.

teh: Maybe he was using a search engine like Metacrawler? Not that I want you to prevent kids from viewing porn, but...

Actually, I think it was the yahoo image search. But dang. That stuff's supposed to get blocked.

My guess is that RoD uses the evil WordPress plug-in known as Akismet. It's supposed to stop spam comments but in my experience it catches more real commenters than spammers. I had it activated for two days before turning it off since it was shoving all my loyal Outsiders™ into moderation.

Note: Why did Blogger make me type "jeeww" as the verification word? What's next? Faagg?

Maybe it's because you wouldn't put out or worse yet, you did and AG wasn't impressed...

You aren't banned from RoD. No one is. Some of your comments get snagged by Akismet (which I fucking hate, but if I didn't have it, I'd be flooded with ads for vV1@gra!!1! and hot lesbian granny sex and stuff like that). I try to go through it and release any legit comments about once a week. Don't take it personally.

Incidentally, I just went through the Akismet pile-o-crap. There were 179 spam comments from the last 15 days, and 12 of them turned out to be legit.

I bet it has something to do with my boss spamming all of the companies that advertise with us. Our ISP frequently blocks his address due to his 500 people at a time, 7 or 8 times a day style of advertising. This actually works for revenue generation which is conflicting for me.

Your boss is an asshole. So blame him and the patriarchy -- not RoD!
