Inception
Every now and then, a movie will remind us of the specific power of the medium. Inception is beautiful, moving, and exciting while staying balanced. Too much action and it would have fallen so easily into the absurd, and too much exposition would have forced it too far into the cerebral. There are Cartesian moments of existentialism, mixed with appropriate dollops of gunplay. You'll never read Celebrity Dream Cameos the same way. The Genius recommends this movie to everyone whose lifestyle does not include daily doses of hallucinogenic or psychotropic drugs.

I thought it was OK but I didn't like it. It was good cinematographically, but it's really hard to convey that quantity of meta on the screen, and I think it just sort of missed the mark.
Plus it felt like I was watching the sci-fi action movie sequel to Juno.
I'm hoping to go see it this weekend. Husband is not a fan of (as he calls him) Leonardo DiCrapio...but I think I might be able to persuade him. Looks good.
I would love to see it if I have time this summer. I think Toy Story 3 might end up being the only movie I actually get to see.
On a different topic, Happy Birthday Chuckles!!!!!

nice review Chuckles. I mostly agree, although I think there was too much with the guns, especially since the bad guys apparently miss from point blank range and vans are bullet proof.

actually, I would pay to see that.
The 3B feed reports that there was a post here titled "I may be drunk; but he's gay". What happened to it? Inquiring minds want to know!
SOmeone got too drunk, and thought he was super hilarious. Unwanted relationship advice is unwanted.
