Thursday Theft

Ted Rall's point is well made, but my opinion is that people think about Iraq a lot but on entirely the wrong topic. On the internet and in real life, the people I know give a shit and want to make real changes in the situation. Maybe we don't have great ideas but we know that the current course is suboptimal. Yadda yadda yadda, right?

Tomorrow is Friday and I will be looking for some professional wingnut to shred.

Yeah, Rall's slightly off here (although I love the Malkin caricature he did that Ryan and August get so much mileage out of).

The problem isn't apathy. The problem is the huge chunk of people who actually believe shit is going the way it ought to be going.

It bothers me deeply to see the apologists swarming to excuse some of the BS our nation has been up to these last 5 years.

total hooey.

yeah, but everyone on the internet is an opinionated wanker and you live in DC, where optimistic dreamers go to become hardheaded realists.

the average american yokel .. i mean voter doesn't give two shits about iraq, because he is waist-deep in credit card or student loan debt and has to work 70 hour weeks just to earn basic pay.

and hatter, surely you mean the last 50 years, cause after WW2, it's been shenanigans all the way.

PS: chuckles, how can you not get teh's comment above?

I don't know what AFI means. I just thought it was funny to mix those two. I have seen one video by AFI and then hoped to never hear them again.
