Chick Flicks and Kurt Russell

I am disavowing this term. Most of the movies that people describe in this fashion are really just films for idiots. Why we need to describe them as somehow feminine is beyond me.

I have a question for the quiet masses. Who is a better rainy Saturday afternoon movie star? Kurt Russell or Rowdy Roddy Piper?

Is it soothing to swear at the spam?

Because chick flicks are the female equal of action movies. We fall for grotesque special effects and they fall for grotesque ways for the main characters to reconcile their irreconcilable differences -- and maybe fall in love.

I'll say Kurt Russell because aside from They Live!, what film credits does RRP have that I have any interest in seeing.

Big Trouble in Little China, Tequila Sunrise, Tango & Cash, The Thing, Escape from New York, Stargate.

24 hours of Kurt Russell love would not be out of the question.

Hell comes to Frogtown is an excellent reason to watch RRP movies. Although, I can't think of any others at the moment, but They Live! is reason enough for me.

Rowdy Roddy Piper.

Always Rowdy Roddy Piper.

Damn straight.

I am thinking that this Christmas TBS should show "They Live!" for 24 hours instead of "A Christmas Story."

TBS would be my Hiro Protagonist!
