My Internet is Out Again

I have an appointment with another Comcast techician tomorrow, but in the meantime I offer two pearls of wit and wisdom: don't get Comcast, and really don't get Comcast.

Father Genius said that it is nice to see American exports rising, even if it is only financial woes. In case you were wondering where I get it.

Why the hell did you get comcast?

Verizon DSL, quite fast enough.

Fast enough for Chuckles insatiable thirst for high definition muppet porn? I think not.

Chuckles,

Sorry to learn that your service is out.

I work for Comcast. Please send me the phone number on the account. I will make sure service call is completed seamlessly tomorrow.

Thanks for the opportunity to assist!

Just kidding, we are a huge corporation interested only in your money.

Since we think you won't actually switch to DSL since you probably have no landline and may be too far from a switching station we'll let you suffer through our crappy service.

But in the meantime, pretend you're are able to enjoy blazing fast internet access we provide and free access to all the premium content we've got at Charter.com!

What did Comcast prescribe you for porn withdrawals?

Neither DSL nor FIOS are available in my building but I will be contacting Mark Casem to attempt to get a permanent solution to the problematic situation with my cable connection.

I don't smoke or own a pony, so I guess I will be left with pieces of birch bark floating down stream.

Gotta give Mr. Casem credit for having good grumpy customer search parameters on Google.

I wonder If I could get him to review my debacle with Comacast 3 years ago when they billed me for reconnecting my service after an accidental disconnection, then billed me for a cable box and modem that I personally dropped off at a Comcast service desk in response to said debacle - oh, and at least 1 more month of service.

Comcast will never get another dime from me. Not one stinkin dime.
