Tarantula Tuesday

I put more water in Helob's dish. I am not sure if he is eating the crickets or if they are eating each other. I have seen them eat each other, but I have not seen helob eating any of them. Mostly, he just wanders around the terrarium.

I don't have a camera anymore. I have already posted all the good pictures, maybe I should just repost one or two.

I am only now noticing that I posted a bunch of crap on Monday thinking it was Tuesday. I was really out of it yesterday.

No response yet from the Chachmeister.

Who doesn't have a camera in this day an age? How are you going to take nasty photos with the twinkies you bring home?

If you drop some green, leafy bits in with the grasshoppers, they won't eat each other so much. But you should really use crickets, anyway.

Also, it's very common for tarantulas to stop eating for weeks, sometimes months at a time.

Oh, and any food they've not eaten in 24 hours should be removed.

teh, are you like a tarantula Nobel Peace Prize winner or something?

You are quite the stud vet!

I am using crickets I caught in my parent's basement. To answer your next inevtiable question, I do not live with my parents. They sold the house and I had to move.

teh: I can't take the crickets out because I have no place to put them. Something is eating these guys, so I am not horribly worried. I let Helob eat any intruders and he seems quite happy with that. Those tricksie, filthy little hobbitses!
